A Map of Woods illustrates my imagination and day-to-day walk routine in the artist in residence centre in Finland. During my stay, the season changed from autumn to winter within one month, trees turned from autumn yellow to snow white. I walked around the village, into the field and woods. There, I met a hare, some sheep, horses and other little animals. I walk during the day and draw the map bit by bit, from memory, at night. The map records some fragments from my memories since the rest are vanished over time. Here, I drew both the things I saw and I imagined.
